Practising at Lionsa

Lionsa is a professional consultation environment designed to support individual, reflective, and creative one-to-one practice. The space is best suited to practitioners whose work is quiet, contained, and appointment-based.

Practices suited to this space
Practitioners who may feel at home in this space include those offering counselling or psychotherapy, creative or art-based therapeutic work, gentle somatic or body-aware one-to-one practices, spiritual or contemplative guidance, wellbeing and personal development support, integrative approaches, and other forms of individual, consultation-based work.

How the space is used
Practitioners work independently from Lionsa and manage their own clients, bookings, and professional responsibilities. The space is not intended for group programs, workshops, public events, retail activity, or drop-in services.

What Lionsa offers practitioners
Practitioners working from Lionsa have access to a calm, well-maintained consultation environment with shared tea-making facilities, access to a sink suitable for washing art materials, and flexible seating arrangements that can be adapted to different styles of individual practice.

The space has a warm, home-like and uplifting ambience, with artworks on the walls and thoughtful details throughout. Lionsa is located on a quiet suburban street with ample nearby parking, and room hire is offered at competitive rates and all new practitioners are offered a temporary introductory rate for their first few bookings, to support the settling-in period.

Practitioners also have the option of being listed on the Lionsa website, with a link to their own practice website, and benefit from informal networking opportunities with other practitioners working independently from the space.

What is required of practitioners
Practitioners are required to hold their own relevant professional and public liability insurance and to manage their own clients, bookings, and payments. Room hire fees are payable at the time of booking, unless otherwise agreed. Practitioners are expected to use the space respectfully, be mindful of others working from the premises, and leave the room clean, tidy, and set up as it was found.
