Art for Takayna is an annual artist residency and exhibition hosted by Bob Brown Foundation in the wild and ancient forests of Takayna in north-west Lutruwita / Tasmania.
As one of over 100 artists, Fiona Haasz, is showing selected works from her residencies of 2024/2025 in takayna, incorporating channelled messages from the forest with sketches, and recordings of spoken word with improvised piano, a spontaneous collaboration with Dave McEvoy. A collaborative time-lapse video piece, with Dani Salome is also showing, involving purposeful play with wood chips created by Yellow-tailed black cockatoos.
